Synthroid should be taken in an empty stomach without any meal.

Consume a whole glass of water along with medicine. The medicine is taken as routine medication so it is essential to continue as long as the doctor prescribed without any failure. Take the medicine at the same time every day to avoid missing and to have the best result.

SYNTHROID is a replacement for a hormone that is actually produced by your thyroid gland to control the body's energy and metabolism and it is given when the thyroid does not make enough of this hormone on its own.

Missed Dose

Take the medicine regularly. Missing a dose may hinder a favorable result. If you ever miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. When you take a missed dose remember to keep a time gap of 4 to 5 hours. If that is not possible better you skip the dose and continue as usual with the following dose. A double dose is not at all recommended, it may bring extreme side effects

Storage

Store SYNTHROID at room temperature within 68 and 77 degrees F(20 and 25 degrees C). Always keep it in a cool dark place that is not directly kept in front of heat, moisture, or sunlight. Keep away from kids and pets.

Warning/Precautions
Synthroid will not be recommended by doctors if you are allergic to any ingredients in the formulation or if you have a history of heart attack, chest pain (angina), elevated thyroid hormone levels that have not been treated, or adrenal gland problems.
