Drug Usage
Caverta is an equivalent of Viagra in the form of oral medicine. Usage directions should be confirmed with a concerned doctor. Otherwise, you can always read the patient information booklet which consists of professional instructions regarding medication usage. Caverta is assimilated into the body according to the person's health and reception of the body. So, the time to show the result may vary in various people. It is best when taken half an hour to 1 hour before having sex.
Missed Dose
Caverta is taken only when required. So the missed dose issue doesn't exist. It is not taken as part of regular therapy. If you missed taking the medication before having sex, then you can take it right when you remember. And then wait for it to activate. The maximum dosage allowed is one pill per day.
Storage
We recommend keeping Caverta at room temperature within 59 and 86 degrees in its own container. Keep it away from direct heat, moisture, or light. Save it in a place where kids and pet animals cannot reach.
Overdose
Get emergency medical care if you doubt an overdose. Contact the nearest medical facility promptly.
Safety Information/Warning/Precautions
Before you begin treatment with Caverta, you should explain your medical history in detail with your health care specialist. Food allergies as well as medicine formulation allergies should be checked and informed.
Enroll complete details of over-the-counter medicines, herbal supplements, dietary medicines, and prescription medications in the medical records while you visit the doctor.
Caverta is a medicine used to produce an erection when sexually stimulated. So, usage of the drug is limited if you had a history of heart-related diseases like arrhythmic disorders, heart attack, or stroke.
If you feel any symptoms similar to, chest, neck, shoulder, or jaw pain; the insensitivity of an arm or leg; sharp dizziness, headache, stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting; fainting; or vision fluctuations, etc. while indulging in sexual activity or any other vigorous workout, then stop doing it quickly. Seek emergency medical care for it might be indications of a heart attack.
Caverta must also be stopped if one or more of the subsequent conditions connect to you:
*Liver disorder
*Kidney disorder/Dialysis
*Sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
*Hemophilia
*Stomach ulcer
*Retinitis pigmentosa
*Peyronies disease
The usage of alcoholic beverages is usually not advised while you are put on the Caverta as it is ED medicine. Alcohol is a muscle relaxant.
Mild drowsiness or blurred vision may be felt while using Caverta. This will stop occurring once the body gets adjusted to the medication.
Tasks requiring mindfulness and alertness should be avoided for some time.
Feeling giddy or dizzy is normal during the medication but you should be cautious not to fall down, so when you get up from sitting or laying down posing do it gradually.
Some medications can cause reactions with Caverta. The reactions are normally moderate in nature but can be critical at times.
These medications include:
*Nitrates in any pattern (Ointments, patches, pills) (Nitrostat, Nitrolingual, Nitro-Dur, Nitro-Bid, Minitran, Deponit, Transderm-Nitro, Dilatrate-SR, Isordil, Sorbitrate, isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, ISMO, Monoket)).
*Recreational pills termed poppers.
*Bosentan or Tracleer
*A blood thinner such as warfarin also known as Coumadin;
*Cimetidine (Tagamet HB, Tagamet)
*Antibiotic erythromycin (E-Mycin, Eryc, Ery-Tab) or clarithromycin (Biaxin);
*Prazosin (Minipress), Doxazosin (Cardura), Terazosin (Hytrin);
*HIV medicines, for instance, tipranavir (Aptivus), amprenavir (Agenerase), efavirenz (Sustiva), darunavir (Prezista), indinavir (Crixivan), nevirapine (Viramune), saquinavir (Invirase, Fortovase), ritonavir (Norvir), lopinavir-ritonavir (Kaletra), fosamprenavir (Lexiva), atazanavir (Reyataz), or nelfinavir/Viracept;
*Itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral) antifungal medicines;
*Phenobarbital (Luminal), Carbamazepine (Tegretol), or phenytoin (Dilantin); or
*Rifampin (Rimactane, Rifadin) or rifabutin (Mycobutin).
Important note:
At times, a condition termed Priapism, in which a sensitive erection has been seen. The erection persists for more than 4 to 6 hours can have an irreversible injury to the penis. If you notice such a case contact your doctor immediately.
Do not include other ED medications in any of your therapy while you are on Caverta.
If you are aged above 65 and have liver problems then you must keep general caution while using Caverta.
Caverta is not a medicine for women or children.
Caverta is a cure for ED but does not guard against the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore, always follow safe sex measures.
